Sneak Peek

June 27, 2011

With days away from the new Idea Book & Catalogue being released, today’s share is not only a wedding-related share, but uses a stamp from the new catty!

You’ll have to ignore the mess in the back – photo was taken on the fly before I packaged it up for a wedding. This card features one of our new In Colours this year – Island Indigo. It’s such a rich blue, I love it! It may be hard to see – but the raindrops are filled with Crystal Effects with ink swirled in for a wet look effect.

Always Elegant Wedding

April 23, 2011

Stampin’ Up! featured some new stamps in the current 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog geared towards weddings. They were described as “refined, elegant light line art, clean, classy paper designs, distinctive pieces to coordinate, sophisticated colour palette” – page 66 in catalogue. Taking the above adjectives, I present to you today’s wedding share:

Colours that make up this beautiful card: Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla

Finial Pressed Wedding Card

April 18, 2011

Today’s share is a wedding card… not an invitation, but a card that a guest can give to the newly weds. I’ve been wanting to make wedding cards for a while now, and hopefully I will have more time as I will have a need for these soon! :D

What kind of paper is this? It is card stock vellum! The vellum here gives this card a lighter look, making it a perfect card for any time of the year. The popped up decorative label is stamped from the brand new sneak peek set Four Frames. If you look closely at the top and bottom of the label, you will see 2 tiny half-back pearls adorning the label.

Sneak peek of 2 of the 4 cards that will be made in this weekend’s So Cute card class:

Makes for super cute gift cards for an upcoming baby shower :)

Bring on the Cake!

March 24, 2011

The Occasions Mini has a lot of different stamps for a variety of stampers this time around. Although it still had some quirky sections to them, there was something for everyone.  One of my favourite section in this mini catalog is the  Bring on the cake suite (p.20 to 25). If featured all things birthday related which was great because I was finding I was lacking in different birthday sentiments. So when I saw the Bring on the Cake stamp set, I had to get it.  Such a great set for a beginner stamper.  Featuring 13 stamps, there’s lots of possibilities!

Here’s my first card that I CASED from Connie Tumm:

Colours: Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil, Early Espresso
Stamp sets: Bring on the Cake (Occasions Mini 2011), Out of the Box (retired 2009-2010 hostess)
Tools: Big Shot, Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder,  clear embossing powder, heat gun, pop dot,
various circle punches

Connie used the Square Lattice embossing folder which I do not have (yet! :P), but that’s OK because it forced me to be creative and find another use for the Petals-a-Plenty folder which I have only used during Christmas time.

So Cute Card Class – sneak preview

March 18, 2011

*sigh* I know, its been a while again. I am running a baby card class on March 26th featuring the So Cute stamp set.  Here’s a sneak preview of what the box will be to hold all the cute little cards!

Valentine’s share

February 13, 2011

Today’s share is a simple Valentine’s card and treats that are easy to put together but still looks nice.

The paper box and treat cup are more fun and vibrant, great to use for kids’ school Valentine’s hand out.  The card on the other hand was designed to be more mature.

Eat Chocolate

January 16, 2011

Honestly, who doesn’t like chocolate?  Chocolate is sweet, creamy, smooth, bitter, sometimes crunchy – but ultimately really good.

This little share today features the Eat Chocolate stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  Such a cute little saying, no?

Queen for a Day

January 13, 2011

I had a meeting with my team the other night and got to create this fun birthday card:

A vibrant birthday card with bees from the Nature Walk stamp set in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue, a little dry embossing.  Topped off with a flourish of Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon and the words “Queen for a day” from the You’re a Gem stamp set, also available in the new mini.
